A few months ago, it was reported that the 2023 WSOP will be held back at the old site when Bally’s changed its name.
It was reported on social media that poker superstar Doyle Brunson was among the notable figures present during the opening of the Horseshoe Las Vegas.
The World Series of Poker 2023 will be held in the Horseshoe Las Vegas.
Jack Binion, previous owner of Binion’s Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas, where his father started the World Series of Poker in 1970, also attended the event last Friday. Caesars Entertainment’s senior brass joined Jack Effel, vice president of the World Series of Poker, to host a media dinner.

The resort, once known as Bally’s, officially rebranded as Horseshoe Las Vegas at the end of March, but the move had been in the works since December of last year. There are new eateries, updated accommodations, and even a poker area.
On April 6, there will be a US$160 buy-in Inaugural Poker Industry Event held in the new room, and all employees of the casino who hosted the event will get a free entrance to the World Series of Poker.
When renovations are complete on May 29, 2019, the venue will host 95 official bracelet events, including the WSOP Main Event, and will include photos of every WSOP Main Event winner.
