The number of players registered for April’s KSOP Special GGPoker main event is rising. GGPoker’s satellites have helped many players save money and eight more names were added to the Main Event’s roster on Wednesday.
The Main Event has a buy-in of $2,500, and yesterday’s $55 satellite offered five guaranteed seats, but the strong turnout exceeded expectations. There were 107 submissions for the eight available positions, and several well-known faces were among them.
The most notable is professional poker player Ana Luiza Marçal, who participated in the most recent KSOP GGPoker in Rio de Janeiro and is now set to compete in the year’s largest tournament in Balneário Cambori. On the website, she goes by the name “Yergul,” and she has saved up enough money to participate in the major tournament.
The Korean Poker Series (KSOP) is presented by GGPoker. Make an account, enter the satellite tournaments to win a spot in the main events, and use the website’s timetable to your advantage.
Junior Gonçaves Dias “JrDias,” “Reidogado!”, “asdfqwerty,” “DS81BR,” “kyrios,” and “DeuEu” are all Brazilians who made the cut with the player from Rio. The sole international player to qualify through this satellite is Bolivian “dukas18” Diego Vasquez, who will be allowed to attend the event at a reduced cost.
All of the players who met the requirements got into the R$3,500 Main Event, which features a prize pool of R$5,000,000. One of the largest poker tournaments of the year, the KSOP GGPoker Special, will be held from April 20-30 at the ExpoCentro in Balneário Cambori. Today at 8 PM, there will be a new satellite with three guaranteed places.
